Remove numbers from text
Deletes every number from the text, together with decimal points and thousand separators inside it. Words, signs, currency symbols and units stay.
How it works

Works well for
- Removing prices, quantities, IDs or line numbers from lists
- Numbers written as 1,234.56 or 1'000 – removed as one number, separators included
- Digits of other scripts, such as Arabic-Indic or Devanagari digits
Limitations
- Digits inside words and codes go too: “MP3” becomes “MP”, “A4” becomes “A”.
- Signs, currency and units stay, so “-5 kg” becomes “- kg”.
- Numbers written as words (twenty) and characters like ², ½ or Roman numerals stay.
Frequently asked questions
Are decimals and thousand separators removed?
Yes. A single dot, comma, apostrophe or non-breaking space between digits is treated as part of the number, so 1,234.56 disappears completely.
What about spaces left behind?
The spaces around a removed number stay. Chain the extra-spaces cleanup to collapse them.
Is my text uploaded?
No. The text is processed in your browser and stays on your device.
How much text can I process?
Up to 1 MB of text without an account, 2 MB with a free account and 10 MB with Pro.
