Remove an object from a photo

Paint over a stray object – a bin, a wire, a stain, a passer-by in the distance – and the tool fills the spot from the pixels around it. Everything happens in your browser with classic inpainting, no AI.

How it works

  2. Paint over the object with the brush, slightly beyond its edges.
  3. Fill the area, compare before and after, repeat if needed and download.

Works well for

  • Small objects on sky, water, sand, grass, walls or fabric
  • Power lines, wires, scratches and dust spots
  • Stains and small blemishes on smooth surfaces
  • Litter, signs or distant people in a small part of the frame

Limitations

  • The painted area can cover at most 25% of the image
  • Large objects leave visible repetition or smearing – nothing is invented to replace them
  • Faces, text and detailed structures such as windows, fences or crowds are not reconstructed
  • Objects that overlap the main subject are hard to remove cleanly

Frequently asked questions

How does the fill work without AI?

Thin marks are filled by spreading the surrounding colors inward, which is fast and invisible on smooth areas. Larger areas are filled patch by patch: the tool searches the rest of the photo for matching texture and copies it in. Nothing is generated or imagined.

Why is the result blurry or repetitive?

The fill can only reuse what is already in the photo. If the object is large or sits on a detailed background, there is not enough similar texture nearby. Work in smaller steps: remove part of the object, fill, then mark the next part.

Is there a size limit?

The painted area can cover up to 25% of the image. The image itself can be up to 10 MB and 12 megapixels without an account, 20 MB and 16 MP with a free account and 50 MB and 40 MP with Pro.

Can I undo a fill?

Yes. Undo and redo cover every brush stroke and every fill, and the before/after slider shows exactly what changed.
